Dr. Julia Chowdhury, M.D., is a leading OB/GYN providing top-quality care for women in and around Plano and Dallas, TX. As a licensed OB/GYN and a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Chowdhury is skilled in an array of medical procedures and treatments to help women of all ages stay healthy, including well woman exams and pap smears, menopause care, infertility consultation, breast cancer screenings, treatment of irregular and heavy periods and menstrual cramp relief, treatment of urinary tract infections (UTI), testing and treatment of sexually-transmitted diseases (STDs), prenatal care, and c-sections. In addition, she offers women a comprehensive choice of birth control options, including IUD insertion and birth control implant (NEXPLANON®) insertion. Dr. Chowdhury also has extensive experience in advanced diagnostic and minimally-invasive procedures, including colposcopy to help women learn the causes of abnormal pap smear test results, endometrial biopsy, and endometrial ablation with the state-of-the-art Novasure® approach.
As a leading OB/GYN in the Dallas area, Dr. Chowdhury puts the needs of her patients first, placing an emphasis on custom, patient-centered care and treatment options based on the unique needs of the individual patient. She enjoys working with women of all ages to develop long-lasting relationships that foster a sense of compassion and trust, helping women feel confident about their health and wellness at every stage of life.
Dr. Chowdhury earned her medical degree in Tennessee and completed her residency in Grand Rapids, Mich. Committed to developing her own skills and expertise, she continues to take part in continuing medical education activities to ensure her patients have access to the broadest array of cutting-edge treatments and care options. In addition to caring for patients at her own practice, Dr. Chowdhury is also affiliated with the Medical City - Plano and the Surgical Center of Plano..
